Frequently asked questions
Can I try it for free?
Yes, in the Mane app. New app users get a free try: once per account, on a phone that hasn’t used Mane before. Sign in to the app with Google or Apple and you can use it here with the same account. Free results are standard quality and watermarked; once you buy credits, both new and past free results become watermark-free.
What happens to my photo?
Your photo doesn’t leave your device until you press CONFIRM. Then only that photo is sent to our AI provider fal.ai (OpenAI and xAI image models). Source and result images are kept in private storage and deleted automatically within 30 days. They are never used for identification and never sold.
Do my app credits work here?
Yes — sign in with the same account (Google or Apple) and your balance is shared. If you use the app as a guest, first link your account in the app with Profile › Sign in; your credits move to your account.
How long does a result take?
Usually 10–30 seconds. Even if you close the tab, the result will be waiting in My gallery.
What if the result isn’t what I expected?
If a generation fails for technical reasons, your credit is refunded automatically. Picking many changes at once (4+) can make results less predictable; trying them one by one is more consistent.
Is there a subscription?
No. There are one-time credit packs and credits never expire. During the beta, credits are bought in the iOS and Android app.
