About Pastel Pink
Pastel pink requires lifting the hair close to platinum. The color is usually applied as semi-permanent dye that sits on top of the hair, so it fades within a few weeks, especially with frequent washing. Washing with cool water and using a color-depositing conditioner help it last longer.
It suits cool and neutral undertones very well, while a peachier pink looks softer on warm skin. With soft cuts like a wavy lob, pixie or fishtail braid it looks romantic, and with a shag it takes on a more rock-and-roll feel.
How long does pastel pink last?
Semi-permanent pastels usually fade noticeably within two to four weeks. Washing with cool water and refreshing with a color-depositing conditioner extend that time.
Can pastel pink be done on dark hair?
The hair first needs to be lifted to a very light level; pastel tones don’t show on unlightened dark hair. In Mane, you can see the result on your own photo and decide whether the process is worth it.
